Principles Governing the Operation of Reality

Beyond personality's relationship with the greater reality, metaphysics is concerned with the structure and operation of reality. The operation of reality--how it works--is described in terms of the fundamental principles which govern the formation of each aspect of reality.
The physical world equivalent of these principles are the physical "laws" described by science; however, metaphysicians generally think of physical "laws" as a subset of principles defining the operation of the greater reality. They are seen as a product of the fundamental principles so it is thought that, as physical science is extended to embrace more of the operation of etheric reality, these fundamental principles will be redefined by refinements of the known principles in physical science.
The principles described here are from a very fundamental perspective. The difference between this perspective and the one usually taken for defining principles of Natural Law is really one of complexity. For instance, saying that reality is continuous does not say a lot about how that continuity is experienced from locale to locale. As our scientists come to understand this concept, they can be expected to fill in the details. For instance, the Principle of Continuity may come to include numerous demonstrable sub principles.
Point of View
If you are familiar with metaphysics, especially as taught in the Hermitic Wisdom Schools and Spiritualism, you are likely familiar with an earth-centric point of view. That is a "layer cake" cosmology. The Implicit Cosmology is developed from the perspective of "Standing at the veil" between the etheric and the physical aspects of reality. As such, the principles described here may be a little different than that which your are accustomed.
The terminology used here is consistent with the terminology used in the Trans-survival Hypothesis. Please use the definitions provided in that article, as well as those provided in the Glossary of Terms. Links will usually be provided for the first use of possibly confusing terms or usages. Some of the links will be to articles which explain the concept in depth.

As always, your input is very welcome.
Reality is a singularity from which all inherit purpose. The Implicit Cosmology begins with a source; there is an agent of creation that is considered the initial cause or Source from which all else has sprung. This is known with many names including Source, Infinite Intelligence, or more generally, God. The origin of Source and the reason it exists is unknown. The Implicit Cosmology begins with the assumption that it exists. All else is derived from that assumption.
In effect, Source is reality, and therefore, the principles governing the operation of reality is assumed to also govern the behavior of Source. As such, it is believed that Source is continuing to evolve, as are Its aspects. Everything is energy and Source is seen as the origin of that energy.
Source is assumed to be the top life fractal, and as such to have at least the fundamental characteristics illustrated at the right. How source came to be is beyond the scope of this cosmology; however, one might speculate that Source is, itself, part of a collective or that it began as an indeterminate field of primitive energy.
It is worth noting that some of the best minds in mainstream science agree that physical reality, which is all there is as far as they are concerned, began when a singularity which erupted in what is popularly known as "The Big Bang." There is little public discussion about the source of that singularity. In the same way, speculation about the nature of Source seems reasonable but speculation about its origin becomes something of an exercise in futility.
The basic properties and principles are assumed to be the result of the existence of energy associated with Source. That is, the rules governing the nature and behavior of primal etheric energy is embedded in the energy. Some principles can be seen as being directly attributable to the properties or other principles; however, the origin of others is less obvious. Even so, it appears to be arguable that, with the existence of Source as a given, all of reality can be explained as the result of the properties and principles acting on energy.
Reality is the first aspect of Source, as the result of formation. In the Implicit Cosmology, the collection of components and systems of components compose all of reality. A component is defined as a constituent of the whole. In this cosmology, each part of reality including personality, ideas, aspects of personality, Thought Forms and objects like chairs and worlds are referred to as a component of reality.
By comparison, a primitive form of energy we will refer to as "spirit" can be thought of as the stuff of which Source is formed. Source is seen as emanating a differentiated form of spirit as etheric energy. Etheric energy is described as having the characteristic of being more or less removed from Source in a continuum in which it is first differentiated by the personality of Source to as it is differentiated by a personality associated with a human avatar in the creative process here in the physical. Components of reality are formed out of etheric energy as it is influenced by the creative process.
While principles are primarily about systems of components which may include processes or influences, properties might be thought of as primitive or root principles. The principles in the "Reality" classification are properties as building blocks with which principles are developed. See: Local Reality and Personal Reality
Personality is an aspect of source, and in turn, the source of aspects of itself. Based on the idea that, from a first Source comes all of reality, then everything in reality is related to Source, and by way of Source, to each component of reality. In this way, each of us is part of a collective names "Source" in this cosmology. Source is the "top life-fractal."
Reality is hierarchical, and as such, each aspect of Source is seen as a creator personality and is a top fractal for the aspect of reality that personality "imagines." These aspects are also life-fractals.
With attention, life fractals have the potential of employing the creative process to influence the environment. As such, life fractals are also "source" for their differentiated personal reality. "creator personality" is the term used when referring to the source of an component of reality including personality.
From this prospective, every aspect of the "creator personality" is part of a collective. Each round of aspectation emanating from Source results in sub-aspects of Source. The above illustration is an attempt to show this relationship.
Collectives are nested, in that an aspect/personality creates more than one imagined reality populated with aspects of itself. In turn, the personality is part of a group of personalities created by an aspect/personality which is energetically more in agreement with Source (closer to Source).
[It is important to note that there is clearly a difference between imagined reality with the intention to provide a venue for learning for many and a fantasy imagined by a personality/avatar. The difference appears to be that people fantasize about something but without the intention to make it so. If the intention is there, then physical effort is required to "embody" the imagined reality. Venues for learning and aspect/personalities are created out of the intention to experience an imagined reality. Intention and the ability to work with the principles are determining factors.]
An important, practical result of this property is that, while the etheric personality in the avatar relationship is primarily associated with that lifetime the majority of its attention is focused on the lifetime. It is part of a collective and is able to "tap in" to experiences and understanding of other personalities in the collective.
Venues for learning are probably used by more than one aspect/personality to gain understanding (and each aspect/personality is probably simultaneously using many venues to learn). As such, it is likely that other people in the world might be in other collectives. If so, it would be reasonable to think a person might have more rapport with people who are in their collective. This is very speculative but does help explain why some people are like "soul brothers and sisters" while we are relatively indifferent to others.
Personality remains energetically associated with its aspects. In generic terms, entanglement is seen as a property of life fractal fields if the field is a "top fractal" for its local reality. This is seen as an ordering property which relates subfields with an organizing field. The "thread" of "attention" represented by the property of entanglement is seen as what enables a top field to organize other fields to become an intended component of reality. For instance, it is hypothesized that a human body has an etheric field which contains the human body image and the necessary information to gather other fields representing the component parts of a body such as skin, bone, cells and enzymes. It is the property of entanglement that assures the necessary association of fields.
In principle, there would be a network of threads of entanglement linking Source with all of its sub-aspects, and which carries its intention. Here, "thread" is used to illustrate the concept and should not be taken literally. More likely, it is a ubiquitous influence.
Entanglement is important as the thread of influence between the etheric personality and its physical body; the avatar. It should be expected that there is a thread of attention entangling personalities with their aspects. Also see: Evolution
Evolved influence: Span of entanglement decreases as aspects gain in understanding. Considering the property of evolution (below), it should be noted that the human body was probably incapable of being an avatar of any consequence until recent times. As a speculation, Homo Sapien was probably the first step in human evolution that was able to support a personality as an avatar. The first entanglement was probably rudimentary as comported to today; however, it is reasonable to expect that future generations will be able to support even more meaningful associations between conscious self and etheric personality.
The "clarity" of the thread of entanglement is described as lucidity. Based on the comments below about evolution, it can be seen that people who work to develop awareness of their "inner" self are increasing lucidity and this will tend to evolve the human being morphic field so that future generations will more easily be aware of their etheric nature and have greater psi functioning.
Personality is the creative aspect of reality. There are at least two primary branches in the hierarchy with one being the experiential aspects of personality which imagine, express and experience with the objective of gaining understanding. In the "layer-cake" cosmologies of the ancient wisdoms, this would be the Animal, Plant and Human Kingdoms or planes of existence. Creation and understanding are associated with this branch
Formative fields are intelligent systems. The second branch is the intelligence associated with morphic fields. This is the formative aspect of source which holds memory and responds to intention. In the "layer-cake" cosmologies of the ancient wisdoms, this would be the Deva or nature spirit Kingdom or planes of existence. Personality initiates the creative process and remains entangled with the expression of that process, but the actual process is managed by an intelligence associated with the formation and maintenance of the resulting object of reality.
Reality operates according to a body of principles which are inherent in the energy emanated by Source. The Trans-survival Hypothesis and Implicit Cosmology assume the existence of governing principles as a "given"; however, this does not mean that one must accept the existence of governing principles on faith. It is accepted in mainstream science that the physical universe is governed by knowable principles without the need to question why or from whence the principles came.
Source is assumed to be the top life fractal, and as such, it is assumed to have at least fundamental characteristics of life. Given the existence of Source and governing principles, a logical argument might be composed to describe how the whole of reality might "self-organize." An illustration of how a very complex local reality can be developed based on a simple equation and a few simple rules is illustrated in the Mandelbrot Set. See: The Cosmology of Imaginary Space
A physical example of a hierarchy is the world, nation, state, city, suburb, home family individual. In the Implicit Cosmology, the hierarchy of interest is the relationship amongst Source, its aspects, its aspect's aspects ... and so on. There is a many-to-one relationship in the etheric hierarchy associated with Source and its associated aspects.
Important characteristics of hierarchy is inheritance and entanglement. In the concept of morphic fields, fields tend to perpetuate historical characteristics but evolve over time. This represents a form of hierarchy in that "newer" instances of fields are aspects of "older" fields. Fields are also thought to combine as hierarchical collectives, in that an organizing field becomes entangled with sub-fields to produce components of reality such as the human body.
Reality is not homogenous, but is formed into regions of existence created by personalities as aspects of their personal reality. That is, Source is reality but aspects of Source differentiate that reality as they perceive it for exploration and understanding. It is unknown how many "rounds of aspectation" exist. The practical effect is that a personality's avatar existing in the physical aspect of reality is energetically far removed from Source.
Jesus is reported to have said in John 14:2 of the Bible: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. The practical consequence of regions of reality is the existence of venues for learning, which could easily be described as "many mansions."
See the illustration for the property: of Collective
Processes require time dependent. The rate of time and its references appear to be relative to the characteristics of the region. Time related to an aspect of reality which is energetically more removed from the source is perceived differently than in a region closer to the source. In other words, in the physical region, time exists for personality within the physical, but physical time is thought to be irrelevant for personality "outside" of the physical.
Units of information associate as fields of energetic agreement. A thought form is a rudimentary etheric field. In the creative process, first comes an imagined outcome and then comes the intention to make it so, followed by a process of formation. The imagined outcome is generally thought of as a thought form. In principle, thought forms contain information about a specific subject. As with etheric fields, they may be nested, so that for instance a transportation thought form may contain information about all forms of transportation while a red wagon thought form would contain information specific to red wagons and would be a subset of the transportation thought form. See: Etheric Fields and Trans-survival Hypothesis
Formation is concerned with the process of creation. The following group of governing principles address the nature of that process.
A components of reality must be energetically in agreement with the aspect of reality it will inhabit. Energetic agreement provides a mechanism by which order can be imposed on a system without many complex rules limiting the behavior of individual components.
Rather than there being some ethereal being telling a person what they can and cannot do, or where they can go in "heaven," this principle assures that the personality will gravitate toward aspects of reality which it is best able to understand. The practical consequence is that freedom of access to the greater reality is increased by gaining understanding; understanding which is in accordance with the operation of reality. Comprehending the intention of the principles listed here is a good beginning. (Please be sure to follow the links when provided if the associated concept is new to you.)
Energetic agreement can be described as "agreement in understanding." It provides a mechanism for "like attracting like" in the sense that the nature of energy associated with a personality is able to associate with other personalities of similar understanding by "gravitating" to energy of the same or similar character.
This principle results in the existence of the Veil of Forgetfulness which is the the practical consequence of the etheric-physical interface. When a personality creates an aspect of itself and/or an aspect of the part of reality it inhabits to gain experience, the new aspect inherits a subset of its source's understanding. Thus, the source personality is not energetically in agreement with the subset of reality it imagines, and therefore, is not able to "inhabit" that space. The sub personality is created with the imperative to "return" to its source aspect and does so by gaining understanding.
In effect, energetic agreement is a function of how much one aspect "believes" in the aspect with which it seeks to associate. Figure 3 at the right illustrates how worldview moderates perception.
The creative process of intention acting on an imagined result produces components of reality which are a subset of personality's personal reality. For instance, when a person imagines driving a new car, the car, its environment and the little personality in the car are all aspects of the person's native environment. In practical terms, they are energetically and in complexity, a subset of personality's native environment. This subset is determined by personality's worldview.
Repeated aspectations necessarily results in a hierarchy of aspects with increasingly smaller subset of inherited characteristics relative to the source. Because of this, an aspect may not be the same as the creator of that aspect. For instance, an aspect may be the same as its creator in every way except purpose. A creator must have a reason or purpose for extending an aspect of itself while the resulting aspect must have the purpose of satisfying that reason.
Aspects are thought to exist so long as the creator personality holds them in its attention.
The degree of energetic agreement determines the strength of association amongst components of reality. Personality aspects inherit a subset of their source's characteristics. The energetic character of personalities evolves with increased understanding. A personality and its aspects is a collective, the aspects of which are bound, depending on the degree of energetic agreement. Within the hierarchy of personalities, aspects of different collectives are bound, depending on the degree of energetic agreement.
The term, "Like attracts like" has been used to describe this principle. It is correct in the sense that the degree of attraction is determined by each person's worldview, which determines energetic characteristics of the person.
This principle applies in a generic sense to all components of reality. See: Thought Form.
Intention acting on imagination produces an effect which is an expression dependent on understanding. Personality expresses intention through the creative process, and that expression is the product of personality's ability to manage that process and personality's understanding of reality.
This principle is most often explained as "For every action, there is a reaction." In physical science, this is: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." In the Implicit Cosmology, etheric energy is said to be formed into components of reality through the creative process. Intention then, is the cause, however, the effect is managed by formative intelligence according to the limitations of principles governing the operation of reality.
In terms of this lifetime, everything a person does has an influence on the person's wellbeing, the condition of local reality, the understanding of the collective. The avatar is a human animal which is part of the ecosystem. As such, personality via its avatar promotes the health of the ecosystem, is neutral toward it or degrades it. In this sense, it is the objective of personality to cause an effect which promotes the greater good.
There is one reality and it exists everywhere. There is a continuum of existence from here to Source. There are no gaps in this continuum, however, there is change from point to point along the continuum and this change tends to be step-wise.
Each aspect inherits characteristic from its source. It is assumed in the Implicit Cosmology that Source is still learning and doing so through its aspect. Given that understanding is an acquired characteristic of personality, an aspect must represent a subset of its source's characteristics, and as the aspect evolves, added characteristics of understanding not held by its source. The theory holds that, as the aspect increases in understanding, it becomes more energetically in agreement with its source. Eventually, source and aspect "merge" in a way that allows source to acquire the understanding gained by its aspect.
In this way, source and aspect represent energy quanta marking differences in energy which eventually merge.
Reality evolves through the differentiation of source forms into new forms with inherited characteristics. Differentiation is a process which facilitates Aspectation. As aspects of reality are formed in the creative process, the energy field of which reality is composed is differentiated into a new form with different characteristics. The new form inherits characteristics of its source, and so is a subset with additional characteristics imagined in the creative process. The concept of differentiation helps to assure the continuity of reality as each aspect of reality has inherited characteristics which initiated with Source.
Everything is subject to change which is based on history. Nothing remains at rest indefinitely. All components of reality change through process which may be orderly, but evolution is more likely to be punctuated throughout the process with catastrophic change.
The Trans-survival Hypothesis incorporates the concept of morphic fields proposed by Rupert Sheldrake in the Hypothesis of Formative Causation. These fields are also more generically referred to as etheric fields.
The formative information contained in morphic fields is described by Sheldrake as "Nature's habits." The fields cause formation of their associated object based on how the objects have "always" been formed. Without extenuating influences, a human morphic field should always produce identical bodies. The additional influences of parental genes and environmental forces results in the variety we see today.
Morphic fields adapt as the organism adapts. Learned behavior modifies habitual behavior. The mechanism enabling new behavior to modify "Nature's habit" is not clear, but there is likely a difference in the lasting influence of accidental changes such as the loss of a limb and intended changes such as learning to avoid an unpleasant experience.
The process of increasing understanding of the nature of reality depends on the Principle of Evolution. The creative process also depends on it as the worldview field represents the organism's habit in that lifetime. Parts of the worldview clearly follow the personality as it "recovers" from a lifetime, effecting how it readapts to the etheric.
As is noted above in Entanglement: Evolved Influence, the link between personality and body in the avatar relationship has probably become possible via a slow evolution as some primitive link was probably established and then evolved as the humankind became more able to comprehend abstract concepts.
Punctuated evolution: Instrumental TransCommunication is a well-documented from of trans-etheric influence in which an intelligence (personality) causes a change in the physical. Morphic fields are etheric components of reality which are entangled with the physical object of reality they govern. It is reasonable to argue that the influence welded by personalities and morphic fields on physical processes is able to produce changes that would be seen as being beyond what can be reasonably expected from chance evolution dependent on mutation or survival of the fittest.
The common denominator in reality is the characteristic associated with the life fractal. Not the biological characteristics of the avatar, but sentience, and the ability to hold a point of view. The implication of this principle is that life is the common thread that binds all components of reality into the greater reality.
Source is the "top life fractal." As a general statement, the "prime imperative" of the life fractal is to align personal reality with the perception of local reality. See: Personality and Creative Process
(This is admittedly a highly speculative principle. For instance, seeing life in a rock may take some doing. To use a rock as an example, though, you would need to take that rock as part of a greater whole. What can we see in a millions-year-long process of rock formation, chemical change, oxidization, fracturing, and eventual pulverization or remelting that resembles the characteristics of life? If a rock's existence is accelerated into human terms of time, would it appear that the rock is metamorphosed into a new form as it weathers away into sand which then becomes sandstone? This may be a good illustration of our need to consider our world with a very open mind.)
Reality is modified by way of ordered sequences of events. As a fundamental aspect of reality, process has a beginning, which may be the spark of inspiration to do something; one or more intermediate steps, such as comparing an imagined outcome with worldview; and finally, process ends with the expression of intended order.
A personality intending to influence reality which in turn influences personality. This reciprocal influence is a proportional, but not necessarily equal influence. An example of this may be seen in energetic healing, in which the practitioner may sense the flow of energy to the receiver. Another important example of this may be found in the "negative" influence that is experienced by a person who emanates "negative" thoughts toward another. In this case, "negative" means disagreement between a worldview which enables a person to imagine the negative influence in the first place and the actual nature of reality. A direct influence is eventually experienced by the "sender" while only an indirect influence might be experienced by the receiver. See: Balance
Components of reality are interconnected by links of influence forming a matrix of relationships. One personality's awareness of another personality manifests as an energetic link between the two fields, the nature of which depends on the clarity (intensity) of awareness and the reason for the awareness. These links are dynamic and are thought to influence the behavior of mutually related entities. For instance, a strong sense of anger toward a component of reality will have an influence on both the personality emanating the energy and the component of reality that is the object of the anger. Also, components of a system remain related or linked, even when separated.
The principle also applies to the relationship between objects; however, with objects such as a wheel or a bolt, the relationship is characterized by how the objects are associated. For instance, a machine has many related parts.
The relationship amongst morphic fields may be accounted for with this principle. Fields associated with like or similar entities are hypothesized to be energetically linked as a kind of collective related by type if not by aspectation. See: Entanglement and SORRAT
There is a natural ebb and flow of energy in a system. In growth, for instance, it can be seen that growth is punctuated by periods of rest. Activity includes rest. Any process includes transitional phases that may be construed as the rhythm of the process. Part of understanding nature is to learn to recognize the relationships amongst the components within nature and the rhythm of their interaction. Thus we can see that equilibrium requires the give and take of energy, which is described in this principle. This principle is sometimes known as the Principle of Harmony.
Personality is a specific form of life fractal and is all about seeking to understand local reality trough experience, which is accomplished via the creative process. These are the principles thought to moderate the actions of personality.
Attention is simply the focus of attention on a process. It is the decision to understand. In some cases, it is a response to some inner urge or an environmental stimulus. Attention is expressed from the perspective of conscious-self which is what we consider our "I am this." It may be expressed when our "I am this" is fully integrated with our physical body, but it is rooted in the personality. Think of this as the gathering of energy to do work.
The natural order is the middle way in which actions are in agreement with governing principles. Balance is a way of looking at living in accordance with nature. Personality must expend energy to maintain an extreme state. It is believed to be as difficult to sustain extreme positive as it is to sustain extreme negative. It is likely that true "evil" as describe by religions is not really possible. In theory, the energy would too quickly dissipate as the system is "attracted" to a balanced or more neutral state.
In the Implicit Cosmology, balance is seen as being in accordance with nature. It would be naturally sustainable because there should be few if any forces acting to move the person or system out of this state.
From the perspective of this principle, good and bad are irrelevant since the measure of those qualities are typically based on local norms. A person who is seen to be good by a society that subjugates part of its population might be seen as bad by a different society that honors all people as equal. In both cases, the person would be creating reality in accordance with a worldview which is in agreement with social norms. The measure then, is whether or not worldview is in accordance with the governing principles of reality. See: Mindfulness
Reality is expressed via a personality's intention on an imagined outcome to make it so. Fundamental characteristics of the life fractal include curiosity, inherited urge to experience to gain understanding and sense of relationship with a collective. As described in the Implicit Cosmology, these characteristics are expressed in the creative process. See: Creative Process
Curiosity is the source of attention. An important assumption of the Implicit Cosmology is that a fundamental characteristic or property of the life fractal is curiosity. The motivation of attention is seen as curiosity about the nature of life's environment. It is proposed that this is inherited from Source.
Understanding comes from unexpected outcomes. It is held in the Implicit Cosmology that the purpose of life can be summed up as a quest for alignment of worldview with the true nature of reality. While on the path toward understanding, it is a fair assumption that a person's worldview is, at least to some extent, flawed. Worldview is the arbiter of the creative process, and as such, the outcome of any cycle of the creative process may be contrary to the person's greater good. By suspending judgment about the unexpected outcomes, it is possible for a person to gain understanding that might not come if the person insists that the results are "wrong."
This is not to say that a person should not attempt to manage personal reality. The concept of detachment or suspended judgment suggests that realizing something other than an intended result does not mean failure. Instead, it offers an opportunity to reevaluate the assumptions on which the actions were based. For instance, the world does not come to an end if a game is lost or a different political party is elected. Even death offers new opportunities for growth. "Fight, but fight not to hard for what is imagined to be true."
Believe what you wish but know what you believe. While worldview is the arbiter of the creative process, discernment is the arbiter of that which remains in worldview. The concepts of detachment and suspended judgment serve the purpose of allowing personality to assess experiences without incorporating them into worldview.
Discernment is possibly the most important personality quality one can cultivate. Those who have consciously stepped on a path toward understanding make little progress until learning how to experience life without the need to conclude truths about life. Understanding is not a list of "this is true" and "that is not." It is the comprehension that this is related to that in some way.
Personality inherits the urge to seek experience which leads to understanding of principles of nature. It is likely that a person's entire reason for existence is to gain understanding of certain (if not all) aspects of nature.
The creative process manifests form into reality as the expression of intended order. It is the action element in the creative process. Without it, the creative process is fantasy.
The ability to manage the creative process is, in part, a function of how well personality is able to focus attention on an imagined outcome. There remains the need for intention to move fantasy to intended order, but all of this requires focus. If the person is uncertain, distracted by environmental intrusions or harbors an unconscious fear or doubt, focus will be blurred and the result will be degraded if there is any at all.
With understanding, the urge to learn evolves into the urge to teach. Expressed in different terms, personality's lot is to learn, and having learned, personality's lot is to teach. Teaching is generally in the form of being a role model and perhaps a mentor. It is thought that the collective can only return to Source after every personality has obtained understanding.
Etheric energy is put in motion with intention. The more specific personality's intention to do something, the greater will be the flow of energy to the component of reality personality intends to influence. Intention is not absolute, and its degree of influence on etheric energy is determined by the amount of focus personality has on the subject and the clarity of personality's imagery. This is the creative process.
An imagined outcome without the intention to make it so is just a fantasy. Intention is the motive force for etheric energy, and based on a clear understanding of true desire (objective), can be a very powerful tool for living. Think of this as the force which will drive the accumulated energy toward the desired result.
Reality is bound for a person by the limits of experience. The physical universe is a local reality as compared to the greater reality; however, a person is only aware of some subset of the physical universe so that home, community, town and maybe country region are relatively clearly visualized by a person while a different city and the surface of Mars might be just concepts. Local reality is seen as a true region of the greater reality, so that understanding local reality is the same as understanding a part of the greater reality, which is the "prime imperative" of the life fractal. See: Attention, Reality and Personal Reality
The person's perception of what is experienced is a function of the experience itself and the person's worldview. The outcome is neither good nor bad. Note that Personality is linked to worldview which is then linked to perception in the above figure for the Creative Process. Also in the illustration, there is a box around both worldview and perception labeled "Filter." This is to indicate that information passing through the filter (to and from perception and Personality and to objective) is "informed" by worldview.
Perception represents the person's point of view. From the perception of experience comes some degree of understanding. The objective is to understand nature as it is and not as the person is taught.
Personality creates the perception of reality which is based on its worldview. A currently held belief becomes a guideline to the reality personality eventually creates via the creative process. For instance, a place is neutral, but two people might experience the same place in very different ways. The "prime imperative" of the life fractal is to align personal reality with the perception of local reality. See: Reality and Local Reality
Point of view represents the underlying assumptions held by personality when determining how to relate to its environment. Personality's point of view is based on its worldview and spiritual maturity. Worldview is learned during a lifetime but colors all future experiences. Spiritual maturity moderates worldview with understanding inherited from a source personality and understanding gained from past learning experiences.
Progression is a measure of personality's understanding. A fundamental assumption of the Implicit Cosmology is that personalities produce aspects of themselves to gain understanding about their environment. A measure of understanding is progression from initial expression of curiosity to realization of understanding. From the perspective of Source, creation is with the intention to understand. Understanding is hierarchical; the nested fields are collapsed with each advance in understanding.
Personality's behavior is limited only by the governing principles of nature. Personality must learn to live in accordance with those principles; however, it has the option to ignore them, in which case, the result will likely not be as intended. In Hinduism, Karma is often described as a system of merits and demerits, earned by good or bad behavior. With close examination of the Karmic Law, it is apparent that it is really all about learning to live in accordance with the governing principles. For instance, a person has the option to put a hand in fire. The resulting burned hand is not bad karma, but failure to understand nature. Knowing better than to put a hand in fire is an expression of understanding about nature.
Spiritual maturity is related to how well an individual understands the nature of reality. Spiritual maturity is associated with the personality in the form of the worldview Thought Form. Understanding is a measure of spiritual maturity and process of attaining it is referred to as progression.
The maturity of a personality determines the energetic nature of the personality. This is thought to be a determining factor for the parts of reality with which a personality is able to associate. In this way, it is thought that reality is self-governing, meaning it segregates various aspects into regions based on the nature of energy. See: The Cosmology of Imaginary Space for discussion of how this might look as an alternative to usual cosmologies.
Source's local reality is referred to in this cosmology as spirit; however, Sources personal reality is the greater reality which personality seeks to understand. Personality aligns personal reality with local reality by way of an iterative process in which behavior is constantly being modified by experience from prior behavior. In the same way, it is speculated that aspects of Source are the mechanism by which it seeks to align its personal reality with the true nature of spirit.
Understanding is the intended fulfillment of experience. Experience becomes understanding as personality aligns personal reality with local reality. A fundamental concept in the Implicit Cosmology is that personality exists to experience, gain understanding from that experience and "return" that understanding to the Collective. Understanding is seen as being a quality of energy, and is therefore the quality determining energetic agreement. Understanding is a measure of spiritual maturity and process of attaining it is referred to as progression.
The outcome of the Creative Process is based on a visualized objective which is informed by worldview. It is necessary to have a clear idea of the desired outcome. More clarity in the visualization means a more specific outcome. Emphasis here is on “informed.” The visualized outcome is always based on current understanding which is held in worldview. The more this understanding agrees with reality, the more realistic can be the imagined outcome. Think of this as the matrix around which the gathered energy will coalesce.
Expression is a learned response moderated by understanding. As one of the components of the life fractal, worldview appears as a thought form containing the memory, knowledge and point of view of the personality. It is much like a database: when a person is born the worldview database is essentially empty but it has a "front-end algorithm" which represents personality's maturity as its degree of progression and an inclination toward experiences that offered the opportunity for specific areas of understanding.
The worldview database is populated by culture, family, media, religion and schools as biased by the "front-end algorithm." It is the worldview which acts as a filter to determine how the person reacts to situations--prejudices, beliefs, acceptance or rejection of information. Worldview follows a person through transition and influences postmortem experiences.
Beyond personality's relationship with the greater reality, metaphysics is concerned with the structure and operation of reality. The operation of reality--how it works--is described in terms of the fundamental principles which govern the formation of each aspect of reality.
