Why ATransC Has Advertising on the Website From its founding in 1982 until just recently, the Association has not included advertisements either in the NewsJournal or on the website. As a publicly supported organization, its charter includes public outreach. To achieve this, atransc.org is now over 400 pages of personal stories, examples, resources, theory, research reports and techniques. Everything a person needs to know to work with these phenomena is on the website for free. Webmaster Tom Butler contributes hundreds of hours maintaining, improving and adding to the website so that the public can have the latest information.
Money is energy in our society and it takes money to fuel this website. Membership dues and donations support the Association, but it seems appropriate that website visitors should have the chance to pay their fair share by considering the Google adds at the right of the page (where implemented) and perhaps support the vendors.
How to Advertise on This Website ATransC is now accepting "appropriate advertising for this website. We will place your 300 pixel square ad just above the Google ad block at the right. The website is segmented by category generally following the way the tabs in the top navigation menu are arranged. The ad may be placed in any one or more of the sections. See Theory as an example of the new page layout.
The ad may have active links, pictures and some animation. By "appropriate," it is intended that the ad be consistent with the ATransC Pledge and not political, religious or anti-free-thought.
Until a baseline of value has been established, advertising costs are negotiable. Please contact the ATransC if with question.
