Membership In the Why Become a Member of the Association TransCommunication? The Association TransCommunication is one of the very few organizations in the world that is dedicated to the study of survival of personality after bodily death and the nature of that survival. The financial support of members enables ATransC to fund research directly related to transcommunication and the dissemination of resulting knowledge to the world. While billions of taxpayer dollars go to development of particle accelerators and endless astronomical projects, there is little funding available from any source for survival research. In that regard, your help is all there is. Our objective is to use research the Association is able to fund to show the scientific-academic community these are important, objective phenomena that need to be studied.
How Membership Dues and Donations Are Used ATransC is a publicly supported nonprofit organization This support has made the atransc.org website possible, and has enabled ATransC to conduct important research into the nature of these phenomena. It has also provided the means with which we are able to publish the ATransC NewsJournal (example as a pdf file) that contains important articles about people’s experiences and advances in understanding in these phenomena.
More research targeted at improving
understanding of survival and transcommunication are being planned. All
of this is limited by funding and member participation, so you can see,
ATransC membership is not just about you receiving a NewsJournal. It is
also about your support of the larger community by supporting ATransC
efforts to bring these phenomena into the mainstream of our society. The study of transcommunication is not about religion. The main goal of the ATransC is to find better ways of understanding the what personal survival of so called death means to the individual--both here in the physical and after transition of the personality into the etheric, and the nature of the etheric as it relates to the physical. We do this by focusing on the objective evidence of survival we can gather from well-documented experience and well-designed experimentation. The ATransC Survival Hypothesis is the "working model" used by the Association. This hypothesis is being developed via the Sarah Estep Research Fund (SERF), which is chartered to conduct and promote science-based research. Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC), and especially the audio form of ITC more commonly known as Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), provide one of the most important tools for this research as a "window" to view the near-etheric aspect of reality and the etheric-to-physical interface. More development circles are working today than in the recent past, and there is a growing database of objective evidence of trans-etheric phenomena involving subtle energy, direct voice and materialization. The circles provide an important opportunity to study transcommunication, and to relate what is learned with what is being learned via ITC and other forms of phenomena. This work requires funding and human effort to develop, and your membership in the ATransC makes this possible. People who just want to remain informed about developments in this field are important to us, but most important are members who are willing to take action to either study the subject, talk to others about it, both in person and via the media. This is a good time for people too stand up for what they believe to be true. Requirements for Membership
Quarterly NewsJournal - This is considered the primary benefit of membership. The ATransC NewsJournal is designed to keep you informed about what other experimenters are doing worldwide. The Association publishes members' ideas and techniques, along with articles that relate to transcommunication. The journal typically runs around twenty 8.5 by 11 inch pages.
The NewsJournal is published as a Portable Document File (PDF) file for delivery via email and hardcopy for delivery via postal service. Advantages to receiving the PDF NewsJournal include faster availability, often-easier perception of photographs depicting phenomena (typically in color), and the ability to search for keywords. Most links have been made active for easy reference on the Internet. Email delivery also saves the Association postage costs, freeing up those funds for research purposes.
Member Registry (Optional) - The Member Registry is an optional list which includes the name city, state and mail code (zip in USA) of participating members. At least an email address or street address is also required for participation. The objective is to provide a way for members to find other members in their geographic area and to facilitate exchange of information. This is one way members help members. Participation is strictly optional; the list is confidential and made available only to other participating members. See the example listing below:
Idea Exchange - The Idea Exchange is a members-only discussion board providing a forum where members are able to discuss ideas, theories, and evidence about transcommunication. Focused on teaching and learning, the Idea Exchange offers members the ability to post sound and picture files, search for specific subjects, and display text in a number of languages.
Member Registry - Many members record together in a
virtual group recording
session every other Thursday and post possibly meaningful results in
the Idea Exchange. Names recorded by one person has occasionally been
associated with a different member's loved one, and even messages have
been shown to be for another member. The Contact Registry is a new
optional member benefit intended to help members associate EVP with
other member's loved ones. Support to the Community - An indirect benefit of membership is that the Association TransCommunication is a collective of individuals who, working as a community, have a substantial influence on the world through research, dialogue and literature. ATransC members become informed about these phenomena and learn how to communicate what they learn to others. Thousands of people from around the world read the pages of atransc.org. The website would not exist without member support. Many ATransC members are also members of other organizations and share with them what they learn here, just as they bring new information form those organizations to the ATransC. Be an informed citizen of this community and do your part to help bring about a global change in viewpoint about death, dying and survival. Additional Benefits
