Welcome to the Association TransCommunication

(Previously known as the AA-EVP)

Please note that the
American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA-EVP)
is now the
Association TransCommunication (ATransC)

Research indicates that, when your physical body can no longer support you in the physical world, some aspect of your personality will continue in a different part of reality. This is commonly referred to as "dying and going to heaven," but we refer to it as survival of personality. "Heaven" is a religious term that implies a "Hell." What you will learn on this website is that "Hell" is a religious boogieman, or at most a place we find ourselves in because we believe in religious boogiemen.

The Association TransCommunication (ATransC) is dedicated to understanding the nature of the greater reality and what it means to have our personality survive after so called death. We seek to accomplish this by studying all forms of etheric-to-physical communication, known here as transcommunication. Our working hypothesis is the ATransC Survival Hypothesis, which holds that there is an immortal part of us that survives physical death somewhere in the greater reality and is able to communicate back to the physical.

Virtually all forms of paranormal phenomena that involve trans-etheric influences is considered transcommunication. This is an important perspective. We assume that our friends on the other side are intelligent and that such influences take effort—energy of some kind. For us, this means that the influence is initiated by an intelligent agent. Often times, there is evidence that these intelligent agents appear to be loved ones.

You will notice that we say "Objective Evidence of Survival." By "objective," we mean that the transcommunication must be in a form that is in some way quantifiable. For instance, a photograph may be evidence, but it seldom evidential by itself; however, when considered as part of a body of knowledge, and when details of how the picture was taken and processed are known, a photograph may be important objective evidence. One must always ask whether or not there are alternative, viable explanations for any form of objective evidence.

Our pledge to you is that the ATransC will make every effort to help you understand just how evidential offered evidence really is. There is much on this site that should be considered background information but not necessarily evidential. We will indicate what is empirically demonstrated and what is belief whenever we can—with one exception. There are articles about people's experiences included on the site that should be considered a role model of what is possible. These are not always held to the same standard as is a research paper. We never ask the person to "prove it" as long as the reported experience falls within accepted norms for these phenomena.

The Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the USA. None of the staff or members receive payment for the work they do in behalf of the ATransC, so all of the public support we receive is applied to operations and research. Please read the membership page to learn more about participating. In the meantime, enjoy the website. We try to keep the website updated with all you need to know to get started.
