The Association
TransCommunication is a nonprofit membership
organization founded in 1982 to provide
objective evidence that we survive death in
an individual conscious state.
When you donate to the ATransC, you are supporting the development of a
new field of science.

The
Sarah Estep Research Fund
Research
In honor of Sarah Estep's service to the
world of EVP/ITC, and her strong support of both technological
and human discovery, the ATransC has established the
Sarah
Estep Research Fund.
All public support directed to the fund will
be used to promote transcommunication research.
About Donating to
the Association TransCommunication
Many visitors to this
website have expressed the belief that the study of transcommunication and
survival of personality is perhaps the most important
areas of research before humankind today. What can be more significant than
proof that we are not simply physical beings and that there is a conscious part
of us that survives so-called death? Trans-etheric phenomena are evidence of this fact and begs for more funded
research.
Countless ATransC members
have been assisted through the grief of the loss of a loved one by contact with
their discarnate loved ones.
More grief counselors are realizing that the old way of dealing with grief—get
over the death and get on with your life—takes years and has limited success.
Today a new generation of therapists suggests that patients who maintain their
bond with the deceased are better adjusted throughout the grieving process.
Transcommunication
offers a different but continued relationship with the deceased, and helps
people to heal by helping them realize that their loved ones are okay and still
alive.
We are seeing a gradual
evolution in the study of trans-etheric phenomena with the advent of a few academically trained
researchers and even a few modest
research grants. Your donations can help fund more research and grants in
this important and as yet still overlooked field and can help bring
research-based knowledge of these phenomena to the public. The Association
TransCommunication has already funded some research, and as a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit educational corporation, the Association is able to accept tax deductible
donations dedicated to further
research. Following then, are
the current and planned categories for donations.
General Operating
Fund
Research, service to
members and education of the public is limited by the amount of time the
Directors and volunteers are able to dedicate to the daily operation of the
Association TransCommunication. The Association is at a threshold now, in that to serve more members, it
will be necessary to hire an office management firm, as have most similar
organizations trying to support a complex field such as the study of
transcommunication.
Outreach Programs
As you can see
here, the 2006 conference included some of the most important researchers in
this field from around the world, yet the ATransC did not quite break even and a
future conference promises to be even more costly. With sufficient funds, the
Association will be able to continue sponsoring conferences designed to offer
the public the latest information on the subject as well as foster collaboration
amongst researchers from around the world. The association would also like to
conduct other forms of outreach, such as sponsoring gatherings of academically
trained scientists from adjacent fields of research who are certain to have an
important role to play in the study of these phenomena. Such gatherings would help develop a roadmap for
future research.
The Association would like to provide information tables at other gatherings,
such as those of
Forever Family Foundation,
Compassionate Friends, the
International Association for Near-Death Studies and others which would
provide “how to” information and report on the use of transcommunication for grief management.
The ATransC does not currently have the financial resources to give this service
the attention it deserves.
General Research
Currently Recognized Targeted Research: Existing research, such as the
4Cell EVP Demonstration, the
Online Listening Experiment, work conducted by
Alexander MacRae, the Italian
Il Laboratorio and the Real-time EVP study funded
by the ATransC indicates the need for further research in specific areas,
such as how people hear EVP differently than the biologically spoken voice,
replication tests for meditation artifacts reported by Il Laboratorio et al. and
techniques to safely document total darkness materialization physical phenomena.
Future Targeted Research: The ATransC is seeking ways to foster a culture
of collaboration and well-considered study in what can only be referred to as a
"frontier field of study."
Best practices or “state of the art” knowledge about these phenomena, and
that promise to produce specific experience-based and research-based questions
that are to become targets for directed research. The ATransC will function as a
sponsor and umbrella organization, but researchers from around the world are
being invited to participate.
Donate with
Assurance
The Association is in
its 28th year now, and the necessary organizational structure is in place to
assure its continuity beyond the ability of individuals to serve. This means
that major sponsors and donors will have the necessary oversight to know that
their support has been applied where it is intended. The Association is also in
an excellent position to manage grants and assure proper reporting of subsequent
research. With this promise to you, The Association TransCommunication is seeking cash donations,
donations via long-term funding tools as described below and corporate
sponsorship.
Planned Giving
ATransC is able to receive donations via a number of
institutionally managed plans, including (click on the name to see how they
work):
These methods for
donating are intended to provide long-term support for ATransC and to fund
major projects. The Board of Directors will need to evaluate donations. Please
speak with your financial advisor before deciding to use one of these
strategies.
An account is established with a financial
institution in the name of the ATransC.
You transfer
cash or securities to that account.
The
ATransC pays you, via the financial institution, fixed payments for life.
The principal
passes to the ATransC when the contract ends.
Benefits
You receive an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of your
gift.
Your annuity payments are guaranteed for life, backed by the
reserve of your original contribution.
Your annuity payments may be treated as part ordinary income, part
capital gains income and part tax-free income, depending on
the assets used to fund the annuity.
You can have the satisfaction of making a significant gift that
benefits you now and the Association later.
Real estate can be among the most advantageous contribution vehicles
for a donor. Personal residences, rental or commercial property,
farms and ranches, and undeveloped land are among the possibilities
for a contribution of this nature.
You can
give property to the ATransC and avoid capital gains
taxes on the appreciation.
At the same time, you can claim the full
fair market value of the property as a charitable tax deduction.
You may also qualify for estate tax benefits.
The ATransC can accept real estate through a Planned Giving
arrangement, which would be managed by a third party.
By making a
contribution of highly appreciated stock to the ATransC, you
can claim a tax deduction for the fair market value of the
stock and not pay capital gains tax on the appreciated value.
If you need
your appreciated securities to generate income, but would still like
to receive the tax advantages of a charitable gift and support the
ATransC, you might consider contributing securities through a
Planned Giving arrangement.
ATransC is a publicly supported
organization. Members do
all of the heavy lifting when it comes to financing the
operation and making this website available for you. But
you are the public as well and our mission is to bring
this information to you as clearly and correctly as
possible.
